Analysis in Instructional Design involves several key aspects:

• Needs analysis: Understanding the problem, learners' needs, contexts, and tasks.
• Learner analysis: Gathering information about the learners' specific needs, abilities, preferences, and backgrounds.
• Instructional analysis (or content analysis): Breaking down knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to instructional or performance goals.
• Task analysis: Identifying the steps and subordinate tasks required to achieve goals.

Customized sequenced series of brief instructional modules, provided over time, that help participants acquire needed fundamental knowledge and then engages them in several cycles of application-with-feedback activities that build their skills incrementally until they reach a targeted level of sustained and independent competence.

Interactivity has been proven to have a significant impact on the effectiveness of the eLearning process.  It involves forms of action or reaction on learners’ behalf, in order for them to achieve results or reach a conclusion. eLearning interactions may include multiple choice quizzes, tests, eLearning, simulations,  etc, that help learners to deepen their understanding of the subject matter through experimentation, dealing with unpredicted circumstances, or even learning from their mistake.

Game-based learning brings the strategies, rules and social experiences of playing a game into the learning setting.
